Joshua Chora Teen Fund

Joshua Chora was a volunteer at CCC in the spring of 2011. He was a hard worker who was dedicated to learning home improvement techniques and fit right in with the team that was helping to paint and improve the group/family room. A quiet kid who appeared worried that he would make a mistake, Joshua kept to himself for the most part, but always did his best with any project assigned. Doc did not know Josh, but enjoyed the few conversations that he had when he was working with other volunteers. Though he always had a smile on his face while working, Doc sensed that there was something troubling him and reached out to him on several occasions to offer support. Sadly, he held onto what had been haunting him, denying those around him the opportunity to help him work through his issues. On May 15th 2011, Joshua Chora died in a car accident that appeared to be intentional.

Teen suicide is preventable. Depression, anxiety, frustration and hopelessness are treatable. Help is available to those who will accept it.

The Chora Family and the Board of Directors of CCC have established the Joshua Chora Fund to help raise funds and awareness to the problems teens face in the hopes of preventing future suicide attempts. These funds will help provide outreach, support, education, counseling services and related programming to teens in need.
